<\/a><\/p>\nMany participants suggested papers to be discussed. \u00a0The graph above shows the numbers of papers per participant. \u00a0I hope to see participants select more paper and become more active in EHRAB.<\/p>\n
My graduate student Mona Abdi suggested a gathering to celebrate the first anniversary of EHRAB. \u00a0She organized the meeting. \u00a0While we enjoyed a cake and coffee (tasty stuff) , we also shared likes and dislikes about EHRAB during 2014-2015. \u00a0I was surprised to know how much students learned during the sessions. \u00a0The most notable comment was ” we are not afraid of papers anymore”. \u00a0That alone is a success for me \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
Based on suggestions by participants, we have decided to have a theme for EHRAB every semester. \u00a0The theme would be a scientific biological concept and papers discussed would be related to the concept. \u00a0EHRAB during fall 2015 will be focusing on DNA mutations. \u00a0We will be meeting every other week to ensure that everybody had a chance to read the papers and everybody is eager to escape to biology.<\/p>\n We had a very successful year reading amazing biology. \u00a0Below is a graph\u00a0\u00a0indicating the number of scientific paper we read. \u00a0We have started EHRAB by meeting every week and discussing\u00a02 papers in every session. \u00a0After few weeks, we have realized … Continue reading <\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
